First my AW: My "I guess my baby just isn't a roller" girl rolled back to belly last night (in her sleep, but still)! w00T!!!! Once it clicked I guess it really clicked, because we found her on her stomach at 10:30 p.m., 3 a.m., 6:15 a.m., she rolled while I was un-sleep-sacking her, and again in the 10 minutes it took for me to finish getting ready. YAY!
Now my ?: When I looked at the video monitor at 3 a.m., she was on her stomach and totally face-planting into the mattress. Not something normal like face to the side. No, her forehead/nose/mouth were straight down into the mattress. I made DH get up and go flip her over (which woke her up). I know a lot of kids are belly sleepers, and I don't really care how she sleeps, but I'm really uncomfortable with her doing a total face-plant while she's sleeping. Is this just something I'm going to have to get over? Should we just turn her head to the side as opposed to flipping her back onto her back? Do what we did and flip her over and risk waking her up?
Ah, new skills = new worries. Guess that's kind of the way it goes, eh?
Re: AW and a ?
When 3 Became 4
Occasionally Logan would do the face plant, but most of the time he would then move his head to the side on his own. The first time I saw it I moved his head to the side, but usually, now I don't have to because he figured out on his own to move it.
Yay for the roll!!!!
YEA Ali!!! I knew that girl was a super roller in disguise!!
We'll talk about the "face sleeping" today. Sydney still loves to mash her face into the anything that isn't open air space. : )
The Blog
1. I cannot answer your question until I point out that your new siggy pic is freaking awesome. Ack, I love her. So cute!!! And the shirt is great!
2. Camy has recently developed a love for tummy sleeping, and I am SO GLAD! She naps like a champ now - woohoo! But I worry about the face planting as well. If I see her nose-down, I just go turn her head. She usually sleeps through it.
3. WAY TO GO Ali!
