NST Question

How long do they ususally take?

I have one scheduled for Monday if I don't go into labor before then.  I'm just wondering how long I'll be at the hospital all by myself. Sad

    I get them weekly. They usually hook me up for about a 1/2 hour, as long as LO is cooperating. Has been up to an hour. Its boring but no biggie!

    You could be there 10 minutes or you could be there over an hour. It just depends on how long it takes to for it to be reactive. If you don't have gestational diabetes I would drink something sweet before I went to kinda speed things up alittle.

    20-30 minutes for the NST unless they are doing a biophysical profile too (they did one after my first NST) which can take up to 30 minutes more.

    Mine usually take 45 min- 1 hour.

    I guess it depends... my babies have all been huge movers and it only takes 15-20 min max.  My biophysical took 10 min yesterday.

    My office hooks me up for 30 min, sets a timer and leaves the room.
