Sleeping Separately Due to Snoring (Mine)

So... for the past couple of nights, I have been sleeping on the sofa because my snoring has gotten completely un-bareable for h-band. (Not a big deal... our sofa is pretty comfortable. In a few weeks.. I may change my mind).

Anyone else sleeping separately?

  • we do if I am feeling like crap. DH likes to sleep thisclose to me all night long and it makes feel sick sometimes.

Have your tried Breathe Right strips? They help open your nasal passages so you breathe better/easier. I wear them every night to help with sleep apnea.

  • We aren't sleeping seperately YET, but it just may happen. Because of BOTH of us. We both snore, and some nights it's seriously like we sleep in shifts.

  • Not yet.  He was gone for 4 days last week, and even though I missed him terribly, I forgot how nice it was to sleep all night long without waking him up to roll over, etc.  His snoring sucks, and he always wakes me up.  He has offered to sleep on the couch, but I never ask him to.

  • My husband's snoring drove me to the guest room the other night. I normally sleep with earplugs (has your husband tried them?), and am wondering if I'll be able to hear the baby cry if I stop using them... but then how will I sleep through the snoring? Yeah, we may have a few months of separate bedrooms in our future!

  • Hey I was contemplating it, cause my husband like to be all up on me all night and that is just not comfortable right now at all.
  • I tried the Breathe Right strips a couple of months ago. They helped a little, but now as I have put on more weight... I am out of control. There is no stopping it and it won't end until I lose the weight after the baby is born.

He snores too.. but I can sleep through pretty much anything. Once I am out, it is very difficult to wake me.

  • Nothing, I tell you, NOTHING wakes my husband up. The cat peed on him once in bed, and it took 20 minutes to get him actually AWAKE. His mom says that she put him behind a TV for naps so that he'd sleep through anything; Thanks MIL! It makes my life horrid, but on the plus side, I can snore all I want and it wont bother him!
  • My DH slept on the couch for a few nights last week when I was sick and kept waking him up with my coughing.  I felt really bad, but our couch is pretty comfy.  I know it sounds silly, but I feel better when he's sleeping next to me and I miss him when he isn't (even though he's just in the living room).  Our 90 yellow lab jumps on the chance to sleep in his spot when he gets up though Stick out tongue.
  • We've been sleeping separately a lot. DH snores like crazy and it drives me crazy. Before I was pregnant I didn't care I'd take it. Now if I don't get a good night sleep I'm sick all the next day. We fall asleep together, but then he goes to the couch early in the morning when I wake him for snoring. He's so sweet. I've offered to go, but he insists.
