Thankyou notes!

So I'm a first timer and I have no idea where to begin..HELP! lol For some of the notes I find it so easy to be creative and have no trouble finding the words and then others I'm like what do I write?? Especially for those who just gave gift cards or money..Any suggestions? I know its probably silly...

I wanted to thank you for coming to my shower. So wonderful to have you there! It truly was a special time to have my friends and family together to celebrate our little one.
I wanted to also thank you for the generous gift card/gift of money you gave us/blessed us with. It will be used to finish off our registry.

You want to make note that they either gave you a "gift", meaning cash or a gift card and that it was "very generous", "too kind" or whatever.  It's also nice to tell them what you plan to use that towards (even if it's not really what you may do with it, we used "patio furniture" for our wedding thank you's).  Thank them for coming, comment on how you enjoyed seeing them and stick that joker in the mail!

Think of it the same way you would write a note for any gift -- Christmas, Birthday, wedding, etc.

Dear _______,

thank you so much for the BLAH BLAH BLAH.  Note about how it was used.

Thanks again for coming to the shower.  Baby XXXX is so lucky to have so many people ready to welcome him/her with open arms!

This website was a savior for me. I'm not good with words either, but after reading a few of these I was able to write out all of my notes myself.

I kind of cheated and prepared a little poem/saying in my cards. Then I have been writing a sentence or two addressing the present. These are the three I am using. I don't like having them all be the same.

While we are waiting

for baby's debut

We wanted to write

and say thank you

for the lovely gift of.............fill in what the gift is

 

Thank you for your love and wishes,

now it is time to shower you with kisses,

Thank you for .......

 

Thank you for the gift that I will soon see,

Mommy and Daddy say it is great,

and you picked it out just for me

They are sending this card of thanks

Because I have yet to arrive

And when I do I won't write til I am 5.
