I originally bought these:
I love them, but I'm starting to chicken out. They are strappy and have a 3" heel. I'll be 7m pg at the wedding, and my feet didn't swell too much with DD, but I think I'm going to be a little out of balance and need to hold a 25 lb toddler some of the time.
I wear flats a lot, but really wanted something dressy since I'm MOH and wanted to feel as elegant as I could at 7m pg! Any ideas?
Re: NWMR: Formal shoes for pg lady!
I agree on the thicker heel. I wore heels a lot when I was pregnant with DD but my balance wasn't the best so I stuck to thick heels. I cant remember when my feet started swelling but when they did it was BAD!
What about some ballet slipper styles?
Maybe you can start out in your high heel pair for the ceremony and then at the recption switch into something like this:
https://piperlime.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=36915&vid=1&pid=736420&scid=736420002
Those are cute-- def a contender! The only problem with changing is my skirt is getting hemmed to the length of my heel and it would drag if I dropped 3"!
That stinks, that does make it tough!! Maybe they can split the difference with the hem?
Or maybe try to find a mid heel wedge. I know they are not always as dressy but I always feel a little sturdier on a wedge.
I think you need to ask yourself - what would Carrie Bradshaw do?
I vote wear them and bring a spare in your bag in case you're miserable.
