Success after IF

I need gift ideas for 3-year old boy!

Anyone have any suggestions--around the $25 range? We are going to a birthday party this weekend and I'm going to Target this afternoon, so I'd like to pick something up there.

TIA!

  • Playdoh!

My DD is very into dressing up, but not sure what a boy would be 'into'. But I know my nephew also loves playdoh.

  • Do you know what he is in to?

My 3 year old nephew loves the Disney Cars themed match box cars.  He plays with those all the time!

  • Loading the player...
  • My son loves anything to do with cars, trucks and trains.  I know at Target they have little Thomas the Train sets that my son likes to play with.  They also have big cannisters of the larger legos and my son has just recently started showing an interest in.  He'll be 3 next month.

Yep, he's really into Cars and that is actually the theme of his party, but that means he has (and will get) a LOT of Cars-themed stuff, so I'm afraid of duplicating.

  • Yup.....Playdoh would be great.

Also, like others have said anything Thomas the Train or Cars.

Crafts are good too.......like the Crayola paint that only goes on the special paper and/or markers like this as well.

My DS is also very into building right now, so any blocks would do (Mega Blocks, foam ones, etc.)

You could also do Puzzles (Melissa & Doug ones are great!)

My DS also likes musical stuff (a piano, music sets, etc.)

Another great idea is the Tag Jr. system. But.....I think the "starter" kit (with the reading pal and one book....) is a bit more than $25......

I would check out SPAM for some ideas.  They have an excellent list of some of the best gifts and even supply prices from the major retailers.

  • What about some sort of outdoor water toy? Like a sprinkler or squirt guns. My ds is 2 1/2 and loves outdoor water stuff. He also is into bubbles, trains, cars, busses, and tractors.

Targ.et does have these john dee.re tractors like make noise and shake. They are about $20, my son and all his friends love them.

  • DD1 is turning 3 next week. She loves Duplos and play doh, so those would be great options. Dress up clothes would be good too. Maybe a fire fighter outfit?
