How are you doing? I have been thinking about you lately.

Hanging in there.  Some days are better than others.  It is so much easier than it could be since we have Payton.

Today we returned a bunch of duplicate stuff we had for two nurseries and two babies and bought Payton a nice single stroller (we returned a glider/ottoman, extra high chair, double snap n go stroller, etc).

Last week we had some tough days.  I got a reminder call on Thursday evening that the baby had a pediatrician appointment.  Apparently when his birthmom took him to his last appointment and made this one, she neglected to replace our info with hers, so we got the reminder call.  That really sucked.

We got the bill for the legal fees and that sucked even more -- on top of all of the travel expenses we had, it's made our bank account pretty sad (b/c legal fees wouldn't have been due otherwise until we finalized).

So, you know.  We try to keep our chins up and look on the bright side.  We've decided we're going to enjoy Payton for awhile before we jump back in.  Probably years.

Sarah, my heart aches for you -- and I continue to pray for you all. It's hard enough that you didn't get to adopt but now you have the financial aftermath that you still have to deal with, which is a constant reminder. I hope things start looking up for you all! Hugs

I have been thinking about you and praying for you and your husband since I found out.  I can't imagine how brokenhearted you are, and am so glad that Payton is there to remind you of all the good you do have.  If you need to talk, I'm here to listen.  I wish you both the best as you start to heal.  Lots of good vibes and prayers coming your way!
