NBR: What goes with French toast?

DH and I aren't buying Valentine's Day gifts, we're just going out to dinner (DH's surprise to me) and I'm making a nice breakfast (my surprise for him) and I ordered a petite ice cream cake from Coldstone (my REAL surprise for DH, he LOVES ice cream cakes!) for dessert after dinner.  Well, he loves French toast so I found this blueberry struessel bread at Safeway so I'm going to use that and I'm going to make bacon.  What else goes with French toast?  Eggs maybe?  DH doesn't really like fruit so that's out.  I need some ideas.  TIA!!!

    Eggs, some sort of potatoe (home fries, hash browns, tator tots), sausage.

    I wish your DH liked fruit, since strawberries would be perfect.

    Does he like fresh whipped cream?  Maybe that, too?
