I am out of little packets of saline solution for my neti pot. Can I use salt water?

It's better to use sea salt than regular table salt, but I think so yes.

This. Definitely use sea salt in HOT water (let the water cool down, obviously, before using.) The hot water will ensure the salt has dissovled.

1/4 tsp non-iodized salt to 8 oz warm water.

Yes, but I believe it has to be non-iodized salt. I'd get up off the couch and look at the info for mine, but lightening crotch is a ***.
