shoot... i soaked too many beans

and it worked so now I feel like I need to use them. but the recipe I am making tonight calls for about less than half of what I soaked (i'm bad at converting things so I just dumped the whole bag in to soak, opps).... is there any way to save these? could i pop them in a bag and freeze them maybe?

I think you can freeze them--google it. But something sticks in my head: put them on a cookie sheet and freeze like that, then transfer to a bag. They won't stick together that way

I've frozen black beans that I cooked so I think this would be pretty similar.  I portion them into tupperware approximately the size of a can so I can pull them out of the freezer and use them when I need them.

I've never frozen beans that are soaked but not cooked, so no advice there. But from my experience, you can cook them all, and then after they're cooked, freeze them in the cooking water in individual or 1 or 2 cup packages.

well I suppose their mostly cooked. i soaked them overnight and then they were in the slow cooker on low for most of the day... maybe 4+ hours?

I'd freeze them. I dofreeze mine on a cookie sheet and then pop them in a bag. Then you have exactly the amount you want for future cooking.
