At the starbucks in a barnes & noble! I was reading and the place was packed. He just sat down and asked to borrow a magazine to read cos I was pretty much the only open table (it sat 4 but it was just me). We talked and went to dinner two nights later!

We met when we were for 4 on Christmas eve. I remember he kissed me and and ran and told my mom. She asked if I like it and I said yes. She told me to go do it agin. So I started to run off to just that and turned around and said to her." mommy I am going to marry him!" and ran off to give him a smack on the lips. We were married in October 09.

My DH and I met in 2002 at the UC Irvine campus pub when we were undergrads.  We used to go there every Thursday with our own friends (separately).  After a year of both being there we talked but never did anything outside of the pub.  After that year of school I stopped going to the pub and we lost contact.  A year later, we found each other on myspace and reconnected.  Had a first date in 2004 and wallah!  We married on December 27, 2008 and now we're expecting!

Adam and I met online. Not some dating site or anything like that. Just a completely random message. We ended up talking back and forth online the first night for about 9 hours. We found out we had so much in common. Talking online evetually lead to talking on the phone, which was such a huge step since I had been a horribly abusive relationship prior to meeting him. After being raped at just 19 by the guy who abused me, I wasn't the type to talk to men at all. So even on the phone was something so huge for me. After months of phone coversation came the even bigger question, "should we meet in person?"  The only way I would meet him if he came to Ohio to see me. In which he did and everything instantly clicked in place somehow. I don't know what made us send a completely random message to the other, I don't know how or what brought us together, but something certainly did.

Met in June '04, I had just graduated from college.  My BFF went to hang out with her ex boyfriend in his new house.  We met his 1 roommate and then as we sat on the back porch chatting in walked the.hottest.guy.I'd.ever.seen.   We hung out all night chatting and then he called me the next day and asked me out.  I said NO, I was so nervous!  Luckily I called him back the next day and we went out.  Been together ever since, engaged 1/28/09, married 10/3/09, BFP 12/3/09.

In between my junior and senior year of college, I had an internship at a newspaper. He was a copy editor there and we hit it off right away, but I wasn't sure how old he was (as it turned out, he wasn't THAT old--he was 26 and I was 20). The day I met him, I had dinner with my girlfriends and told them how I met this really cute guy, and I think he's the one and they were all, 'Suuurrre...."

We went on our first date to Chicago Bluesfest on June 2, 2002, and within  a week we both knew we'd end up getting married. We dated long-distance during my senior year of college. Got engaged August 20, 2003, married June 27, 2004, and now expecting our first July 5, 2010!

Met at a bar actually. i went out with my friends and he was out with his...we were standing at the bar ordering drinks and he struck up conversation. By the end of the night we had each others numbers....2 days later i got a phone call and the rest is history! :-)

My DH had a monthly column and wrote features in a magazine.  My boyfriend at the time was a big fan of his and pointed his articles out to me.  I developed an instant crush on this writer, (his humor and also he was handsome)  Eventually broke up with that boyfriend but continued to read the magazine.  In Feb of 94 in his column he mentioned his girlfriend was out of the picture- so I sent a valentine to his pen name c/o the editorial offices... we became pen pals (this was just before the internet really hit- so we actually used postage stamps) and soon after we were engaged and I moved out here.  We were married at the KY Horse Park in May of 95.

I was going through an intense break up with a long time boyfriend.  My best friend and I were sitting at the bar (the only place I wanted to be in all my sorrow at the time lol) and we saw him sitting at the other end.  She said, "hey you should make that cute boy your new boyfriend"

I one upped that & I made him my husband and father of my child.  To this day she says I owe my life to her haha.

I was going to college in the town he grew up in and we finally met the semester before I graduated!  It was New Years Eve and I asked him if  he had kissed  anyone at midnight!  He said "no" so I went for it!  Best kiss ever!

We realized that the friend had told us about eachother on a few occasions, but we just had never talked or met. I added him on my msn, a week later gave him my phone number, then the next week we met for the first time in person out bowling with all our friends.

I was the maid of honor at my sister's wedding, and my DH was the best man.  After our first dance together, the butterflies started.  We emailed each other for about a month before we spoke on the phone, then spent about 3 months speaking on the phone before he came for a weekend visit (we lived 6 hours apart).  We spent every weekend together after that, alternating between my place and his, and after 6 months he asked me to move in with him.  I didn't hesitate to say yes.

It was my third day working at this grocery store and he came through my line. After work I called my mom and she asked how my day was and I told her a REALLY CUTE guy came through my line... Then he came in every Sunday after that to buy like a pack of gum or a drink! Finally about three months later he got the courage up to ask me for my phone number. A little over five years later we are still together and with our little happy family (three dogs, a cat, chickens, fish, a gerbil and newest addition our little baby Turd )!!!!!!!!!!

2006 I lived in Siena Italy for study abroad and was looking for freelance graphic design work to get some extra income. I found him online a month before going and we started chatting 6+ hours a day. We met in Florence 6 weeks later and were together ever since. Problem was he lived 5 hours away so one of us had to commute every weekend.

When I had to return home, I thought it would have to end but he came to see me 3 weeks later and we went back and forth overseas whenever we could. I went back to Italy for 3 months after graduation and on our one year anniversary we went back to Florence and I proposed to him. I'm not a patient girl! Eventually he moved here of course

We met in our first class of college.  The teacher told us to exchange numbers with someone in case we needed to miss class.  She suggested that it was a great opportunity for anyone who wanted to get the number of someone they were interested in.  DH came and asked for mine from across the room.  That was in 2000, and here we are with baby #2 on the way!

I don't know if any of you remember ICQ - but that's seriously how we met. We were both in high school at the time (it was the summer before his senior/my junior year) and I get a message from him on ICQ chatting me up because he saw that we were both in the same town. After talking for a while, we found out that we actually were going to the same school. When school started - I mentioned that I was on student government, and there was a girl on there that he had this crush on, so I agreed to talk to her (she happened to be a friend of mine) and drop some hints about going out with him to her. She had 0 interest (and I tease him about it to this day), but we kept chatting on ICQ. 

He asked if I would meet him one day for lunch (and I was still concerned that he might just be a creepy old man trying to kidnapp me) so I told him I wasn't sure. Well - I happened to mention it to my best friend (a guy), and it turns out that my best friend and him had gone out to lunch almost every day the year before - and my best friend was like "Oh ya! I know him - he's a good guy, you'd like him." So - I agreed to meet him for lunch (but I took another guy friend with me cause I was still nervous) and met him face to face for the first time. (We didn't go to lunch together that day, but we met for dinner - where DH, for one time and one time only, talked more than me - and I couldn't get a word in edge-wise.) We went to several dances together, including both his senior and my senior proms - we dated for a total of four years, and have now been married 5 and a half. This is LO #1!

My next door neighbor freshman year of college introduced us in Sept 1999, then he was up visiting her on St. Patricks Day 2000, and I was all heartbroken over this a$$hole in my spanish class.  So she was like, "why don't you hook up with Mike?" and I figured, oh what the helll, why not. 

So I proceeded to get him nice and liquored up, then we went to a party, I ditched him (I was such a player), then looked for the spanish class a$$hole, he blew me off, so I went back for Mike.  He was less than thrilled, but then when my drunk a$$ tried to walk back home and sprained my ankle, he gave me a piggy back home, then we hooked up, and the rest is history

He had flowers in my favorite colors delivered to my dorm room 3 days later, complete with a poem.  He's the bestest...

My mom set us up.  My mom was email friends with his mother.  She went to a cat show where she meet DH's mom for the first time.  DH happened to be there (he use to drive his mom to these things).  My mom thought DH was married to his mom at first.  That was straightened out and something was said about my DH wanting a girlfriend.  My mom said I needed to find a nice guy.  At the time, I was in a go-no-where relationship and was working myself up to break up with the guy.  My mom came home telling me she met the perfect guy for me.  I really didn't believe her.  I was thinking loser, dork, whatever.  After 2 months, I broke up with my bf and finally agreed to meet future DH.  It was basically love at first sight.  We met the weekend before Thanksgiving, had our first date the Fri. after Thanksgiving, he proposed a year later (the Sat. after Thanksgiving) and we were married the following Oct.

My DH and I had known each other for about 3 years, and he actually lived in the same frat as my ex-boyfriend. After a 4 year emotionally abusive relationship, I dumped my boyfriend and focused on "having fun" my last year in college. Part of the sluttiness was the "man of the month club" that my two best friends and I started (we only made out with them, I promise!) The week before we graduated, DH and I were extremely drunk in our favorite bar and he leaned over and kissed me. I thought to myself "Well, it is May," and kissed him back. A week later we graduated, a month later he was my boyfriend, three months after that he was my fiance, nine months after that he was my husband and we're expecting our baby right around the two year anniversary of that first drunken kiss!

DH and i got set up at a halloween party two months after I moved back to Edmonton- I was an emotional mess because my dad had died the end of august, and he was an emotional mess because he and his long term girlfriend had broken up that morning. After making my friend PROMISE that unlike the other halloween parties in previous year, she would not let me make out with anyone... she introduced us. That was Oct 2007. We were married August 2009, and sprog is due July 2010. Best Halloween party ever!
