Graco Vs. Safety 1st

in 2nd Trimester

I went to BRU and only found 2 travel systems that looked decent. One was the Graco Snugride 35 (Ben) and the other was a Safety 1st. The Safety 1st was a lot more "cushy" but I have heard negative things about that brand. The Graco was somewhat "cushy" and I have heard pretty good things about it. Any opinions/reviews?

    According to Baby Bagains, Graco carseats are one of two best carseats. Safety 1st wasn't rated very well for safety. I would go with the Graco because of the safety ratings alone.

    I looked on consumer reports and the Safety 1st had a better score than the Graco.

    Consumer Reports ratings incorporate a lot more than crash protection (which all seats meet the safety standards for). So, if a specific seat works in your vehicle I wouldn't worry about it's specific CR ratings.

    Baby Bargains rates both the Chicco and Graco well so we only considered those two while registering.
