Re: LOST Girls

  • Great blog!

You brought up a great point about Desmond... I wasn't even thinking about his boat not crashing on the island due to the explosion altering things. I was just stuck on the fact that he wasn't on the original flight and that got my head spinning.

... and where was Michael and Walt????

    Hmmmm...

  • OOOOO Jacob being Syaid?  I didn't even think of that!!!
  • imagesilverflowers:

    Hmmmm...

I also want to know about them.  They focused on Walt being so special for so long and now he's just gone and forgotten.

I thought about that too, but just couldn't bring myself to accept that Sayid was really dead. I loved his character and was crossing my fingers that he really came back to life. Although Jacob impersonating Sayid would be mildly interesting.

  • Jack could have still met Des training. He could have done the sailing thing and completed it because if the island sank in 1977 there wouldn't have been an island for Des to crash on.
  • I had a whole list of things that never would have happened b/c the island blew up in 1977 (I actually should add them!)

    Let's see....

    -Eloise would have died

-Daniel Faraday would never have been born (she was PG with him on the island that year.)

-Desmond would never have crashed there.

    - Eko's brother would never have crashed there.

    - Ben would have never went to the island (was he there in 1977?  I forget!)  If he was there, then I believe he would have died right?

It's crazy just thinking about this stuff....

Exactly!  But then I think... would he have ever met Penny?  I hope so!  Was Widmore on the island when it blew up in 1977?  If so, would Penny have existed?  I think so b/c she's older than that, right?

Someone made a really good point about this on the last post about Lost. She pointed out that Jacob told them that it would be bad if Sayid died. They put him in the water and he drowned but they weren't too upset that he died after the whole water thing. I think they needed to get him in the water for him to be able to enter his body?

  • Wasn't the four-toed statue in one piece before the explosion? Wasn't it also seen blown off when Oceanic 815 originally crashed? If the hydrogen bomb didn't cause the statue to blow up, what did?

  • Jacob has to be Sayid.  The producers of the show have always said that if someone dies on the island, they are DEAD.  Like, can not be brought  back to life.

Even John Locke isn't coming back. Which means Juliet is gone but she has another show to be on now. :)

I am more confused now than ever but I am sure I will catch on eventually, lol.  The parallel universe is throwing me for a loop.

This makes sense as to why Eko wasn't on the plane in the alt reality. Didn't him being on the Oceanic flight have something to do with his brother? Also where were Ana Lucia and Libby?

I'm pretty sure Ben was on the island in 1977 because his dad was there as a worker. I think little Ben was with the others at this point.

    This is hurting my head.

I agree with you about Sayid now being Jacob. So Jacob actually takes OVER a body, whereas the smoke monster can just appear as anyone dead (Christian, Locke, etc)?

Unless they can find a Walt lookalike, it's gonna be hard to pass off a big teenager for cute little Walt.

Not all of the Temple dwellers are from the black rock... the stewardess and the kids were from Oceanic 815.  But why them?  Remember a few seasons back someone (Goodwin?) saying "they're not on the list"... Locke wasn't on the list of people Michael had to to bring to the Others, but Jacob had touched him right after his accident.  And he didn't touch Hurley til after they were rescued.  Same with Sayid.

And a few more questions for you:

Where were these Temple dwellers for the past 5 seasons, though?  The Oceanic survivors bumped into almost everyone and here's this Temple of Doom right smack dab in the middle of the jungle and they've never found it?

    WHERE THE HELL IS CLAIRE?!?

Oh, that's one of the main things that annoyed me about last night... how the hell could they be there for THAT LONG and NEVER see the Temple Dwellers.  Maybe they were purposely hiding.  Are they the voices/whispers of the island??  You could hear them right before Kate was taken.

I understand it being hard for them to bring Walt back b/c of the age difference, but they HAVE to address it some how.  They're not on the plane now and they should have been there.  Walt is/was so special and now nothing???  They need to do a little better!

I meant the original Temple Dwellers... not the people that they stole from the plane (the children/stewardess, etc.)

Goodwin was part of Ben's Other's not the Temple Others.  Two lists?  Possibly.

    Aww, I like Flocke! =)

    WHERE THE HELL IS CLAIRE?!?

This is what I thought but didn't someone see "visions" of Walt? He wasn't dead. Refresh my memory, why did they take him on the boat in season 1?

And this! Where the hell IS Clair!!??

  • Didn't Claire disappear in Season 4?  She was with Christian/the man in black... who I am now calling Esau.  So he must have her somewhere or he killed her, but Kate told her mom she thinks she is still alive.

So Penny can't be alive if Whitmore was on the island, right? So Desmond and her were never in love? So sad.

I feel like I need to rewatch all the seasons and make notes.

  • OMG well done my friend, well done!!

Can you explain the black rock to me? I am confused about that??

    ?

That might explain why Fake Locke {Flocke} came straight out of the statue and punched Richard as soon as he saw him. He also said "it's good to see you without your chains, Richard" which leads me to believe that Richard came over on the Black Rock. {Remember when Jacob and his Nemesis were sitting on the beach watching the Black Rock come to the island... Jacob seemed glad they were coming, while the Nemesis did not. Hence him punching Richard.}?

Do you remember them sitting on the beach in one episode last season (finale?) and watching the Black Rock sail into the island??  The way they were talking to each other made is seem that Jacob WANTED (or maybe called) the Black Rock to come.  The Nemesis did NOT.  So if Richard was ON the Black Rock, then Flocke hates him!  Because Flocke is the Nemesis.

Does that make sense?  He even referred to him being in chains and then Richard said "you!?!"

This confuses me though because why would the Nemisis have more power than Jacob?  Maybe Jacob can appear as anyone dead too?  I'm really thinking this whole thing goes back to good vs. evil.  Example: Jacob in white, Nemisis in Black. Nemisis can't kill Jacob himself.

  • I believe Penny was conceived off-island because isn't that why Whidmore was being banished from the island?  For getting a woman off-island pregnant?

I think most of this season will be a lot of info about Jacob and his Nemesis.  Jacob JUST died, but the Nemsis may have been killed along time ago and therefore is able to take over any body that is on the island.

Perhaps, Jacob wanted to be part of the mix of the Oceanic crew and therefore he forced the Temple others to KILL Sayid in order for Jacob to take over his body.

So it's quite possible that Jacob CAN take over any body he wants, he just wanted Sayid.

Maybe it was a race between Jacob and "Esau"/Flocke to get to Sayid's body. Didn't the smoke monster come rushing to the temple and everyone had to surround it with ash for protection? What's with the ash anyway? It was always surrounding Jacob's house. Why is that a deterrent to the smoke monster/man in black/esau/flocke?

What's with the ash anyway? It was always surrounding Jacob's house. Why is that a deterrent to the smoke monster/man in black/esau/flocke? <<

I thought maybe the ash had something to do with smoke monster being nemesis.  Like smoke and ash are opposites.  Both are the result of fire, but they are distinctly different.

  • What's the deal with the ash?  In the finale, The Man In Black (TMIB) said he was gonna find a "loophole", then Ilana found a gap in the ash around Jacob's cabin... do you think the loophole refers to a hole in the circle of ash?

I don't even remember this!  I just assumed the loophole was convincing Ben to do it for him.
