My SIL loves it, and has the DVDs. I told her if I ever got curious, I would just borrow her DVDs and then I could watch it all the way through to the end [this was recently so I knew the last season was starting], so I didn't have to experience the extra long mindf*ck that apparently is that show.

Me either. I think when it came out I was already hooked on too many shows, so I felt like I didn't need another one. But I feel like I'm in a big minority.

I've never seen it, either. I'd like to rent a bunch of the DVDs at some point and have a marathon session of watching the episodes, though, because it looks really interesting.

nope, I've seen half of the first episode. I've never seen Oprah either.
WHAT?!?! No Oprah? How dare you. That's like un-American, I think. I have an unhealthy addiction to that show. Not that I 'love' her, but I think she does and excellent job of doing her homework on her topics and getting ppl to spill the beans.
I am sad for you all reading this post. I never thought I would like it. I am not a sci fi person at all-- am not into actiony & adventure- but LOST is so much more. I have never seen another show on network tv that starts with the premise that its viewers are intelligent enough to follow a story so big. And it is big. The themes are timeless and the mythology is amazing. The acting and music is movie quality and the people and scenes are gorgeous. Not trying to convince you to watch-- just explaining that at the end of the day people are not watching idiots running around the jungle with guns. It is so much more than I can explain in a post.

Re: I just might be the only person
Nope, I'm right there with you.

same here. I have no desire. I'm much more of a reality show junkie (other than Grey's and PP).
