That was the coolest thing EVER!!!!!!

A friend and I had lunch at a little mexican restaurant and went to the farmers' market in our town.  Neither of us had been before so we browsed each row (only 3 there) and planned on picking stuff out on our way back through.

It was AWESOME!  The vegetables looked SO good and we found some beautiful peaches too.

There were 2 booths run by Amish people - one was a dairy farmer with milk in the glass jars ::swoon:: and the other had bread and other baked goods ::again::.

On our way back to make our purchases both started packing up and leaving before we got to their booth! It wasn't even CLOSE to closing time so we were confused.

Luckily we only missed out on the bread because we had seen a little market on our way and my friend knew they had the milk there.  Sure enough it was the same man from the market inside reloading the cooler.

Every tuesday, friday, and saturday we have Central Market up here.  I love to go there - and the Amish have the BEST vanilla milk.  Awesomeness.

I want to move to Ohio or Pennsylvania just to have more Amish people around - is that wrong?

We moved from PA to OK in 1992. My mom has always said she missed the Amish stores & goods. We do have at least 1 Amish community that I know of in OK, but they're not in our area unfortunately.

These guys drove a van and a refrigerated truck for the milk. I was like WTF?!? Where's the horse??!!?
