So on Mondays I have to make crock pot meals because we have dance classes for the girls until 6:30, so by the time we get home, the kids are starving and its a pain to try and cook dinner that late for them....
Soooo---I'm making crock pot spaghetti tonight.
The sauce is cooking and the recipe says to add the spaghetti the last hour and turn it to High.
The problem is, we will be at dance for 2 hours. Sooo--should I add the spaghetti and leave it on low? Or high for 2 hours?
OR---
Cook the spaghetti now so its done, toss with a bit of Olive Oil and then combine the sauce and pasta when we get home from dance????
Hmmmm
Re: crock pot experts---
I think the last option is the only sure fire way that it will come out right.
Definitely NOT high for 2 hours --- if it's telling you high for one hour. You will probably have mush in sauce at that point!
I would either do low while you are gone or the last way...and probably the last way.
If you put it on high for two hours, the pasta will get too mushy.
ok..off to cook the pasta now!
Thanks!
