Middle name for Gabriella?

I let my hubby pick out our daughter's first name seeing this is his first born and my sceond. He told me I can pick a middle name but I am having a hard time. My middle name is Jo, so I thought it would be cute if we called her Gabby Jo but hubby likes Mae? Do you have any suggestions?

My first thought was Grace. Are there any family names you could use? What are the grandmothers and great grandmothers first and middle names?

Since Gabriella is long, I'd go with one of the one syllable suggestions.

I agree- a one syllable name sounds good with a long first name. I love Jo and Mae!

Gabrielle was one of my top two girl name choices. Grace was my own girl middle name choice, but I'm not a huge fan of that with Gabriella for some reason. I think its having them both start with the same letter-always bothered me.

Elyse is what came to me. But I think a one-syllable name would be best in terms of the flow of the names, since Gabriella is a bit long.

I agree with a bunch of the other posters...sine Gabriella is a long name, a one syllable middle name would be good (otherwise she will hate you when she has to learn to write her full name in school, lol). What about Gabriella Leigh?
