Bedrest Mama's Daily Check-In***Friday
This thread is for any and all mamas on bedrest, in any form. We are stuck home or in the hospital, in a bed or on our couches, and could use the support of each other to make it through this time in order to get to a healthy baby! We all know how hard bedrest is and we wish everyone a healthy pregnancy!!!! Anyone is welcome to join, and anyone can start this daily thread. Just copy and paste this paragraph and info lines below if you get here and the thread has yet to start for that day!

Question of the Day - If there was one place you could be right now, where would you be and what would you be doing?
Answer- I would be on a beach somewhere (Hawaii?) with my DH sipping a fruity coctail...pregnant or not! Don't worry ladies, it's N/A! I'm sick of sitting inside, knowing it's cold and nasty out and not even being able to sneak outside to sit in my hammock. I'm on strict orders NEVER to leave the house without help because of all the ice right now. With my back, I've lost a lot of control and function in my legs, so it's super easy to slip and fall. And once I've jarred my back, I can't get up. :-( So I'd love to be on a vacation somewhere warm on a beach....with no worries for my poor DH....just us cuddling on the sand or floating together in the ocean. Ah, to not have stress and be able to just chill and get some Vitamin D...opps, gotta stop now, I'm drooling!
Updates- Sorry for abandoning you ladies yesterday. I was having a bad day and trying to pretend I was not on bedrest...But don't worry, I've pulled my head out of my a@@ and am trying to get back on track. I've been so miserable and hormonal that I honestly thought my DH might not come home last night. And that's a bad sign...we get along great and he is a model husband...really! He's super supportive and does all the work around the house. He nevers complains and feels bad that he doesn't do enough- which is crazy! But I could tell that I was pushing him to the breaking point with my never-ending whining/crying and outbursts. I swear, my hormones have been out of control. Add that to feeling super sick and not being able to leave the house and I guess it's a bad thing.
But he did come home and we had a good night. I talked things out with him...ok, apoligized for being crazy...and he was cool. He was just worried that I was getting the baby blues early! :-) So today, I'm trying to re-focus myself and be happy!

Lauren....you're group from church story made me cry! How awesome! I'm so happy that they will be able to come next week too. That will give you something to look forward to and break the week up!
We have lots of newbies on bedrest....Welcome ladies! Please feel free to ask questions, beg advice or just vent. We are here for you all and you won't ever get flamed on this board. Take care of yourselves and keep those LO's cookin!!

Answer- Work. The hardest part for me is I feel useless. I want to contribute to the house hold.
Updates- Went in today. Tests look good. Some protien in my urine but its not TERRIBLE. My BP was lots better today as well. They extended bed rest till Tuesday when I go back in to get tests again.

Question of the Day - If there was one place you could be right now, where would you be and what would you be doing?
Answer- Visiting my parents in Southern Ohio.....I hate not being able to travel.
Updates- I'm baaacckkkk. Maybe it's pregnancy brain (or getting caught up reading all the drama on the other boards
), but I just realized that I haven't updated in awhile. Anywho, have had a pretty uneventful and positive few weeks. Baby is in the 35th percentile, and seems to be growing great. My blood clot that formed from my placenta bleed has FINALLY shrunk significantly, and is nearly gone. My placenta is no longer an official previa and has finally decided to move North (yah!) Until last night, I was nearly 3 weeks without major contractions. Of course, I couldn't be that lucky and I had another pretty significant bout last night (thank God for my Procardia!) I really don't want another trip to L & D if I can help it. I did fail my 1 hr. GD test, and followed up with the 3 hr. this past Tuesday. I have heard no news from the OB's office as to the result, but the way my office works is usually "no news is good news". Hhhhmmm......I think that is it for me. I am going to try to catch up with the rest of you lovely ladies.

Question of the Day - I would LOVE to be anywhere (a beach would be nice or somewhere romantic) with DH and DS...I HATE being cooped up in the house all day but whenever I go out somewhere, I feel like I am going to die :-(Updates- Ok, my appointment yesterday was great! I got my 17-P shot that even though is a 'waste' b/c there are no studies that show it works with twins (it can't harm though), it helps me keep peace of mind. Markhas' ptl delivery may have been a fluke (lots of stress at the time) and I may not have the problem now with Mackayla and Braylon but I would rather be safe than sorry and as long as my insurance is paying for the shot, I will continue taking the shot.OB says things are good. I have had no contractions or anything. Cervix is still long and closed. Two very strong heartbeats! Blood pressure is great! AND I passed my 1 hour blood glucose test that I was sooooo worried about. These babies are definitely sugar babies and I thought that I would definitely fail. Thank goodness!

Answer- I would be some place warm with my DH. Its been freezing rain here. I am getting sick of being cooped up in this house.
Updates- I went to the doctors today. Nothing new LO heartrate was 140 and she is still sitting super low. I chose not to get checked to see if I was dialated today. I would obsess over it till my next OB visit
My Baby Shower is on the 5th, My SIL tells me today that NO ONE has RSVPd to the shower. I told her it will be ok even if no one shows up. Atleast I know some of my family will be there. I dont care about the gifts, just would like to see everyone.
I also just wanted to say THANK YOU ladies, I feel welcome here. THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

Question of the Day - If there was one place you could be right now, where would you be and what would you be doing?
Answer- I have been fantasizing about going to Sonoma in California. We were there for 3 days before I found out I was pregnant (left there Sunday and found out I was pregnant on Monday). It is so beautiful, and the food and wine is so good. I just love to be there and eat, and the towns of Healdsburg and Sonoma are so cute. I really want to go back, and just be my old self, walking around and sipping wines and having a romantic dinner with my husband.
Update- My update is long and I think I will write a separate post, but I spent last night in the hospital! My cervix is even shorter but I'm not dilated at all (thank goodness!). I have been put on strict bedrest at home, so I'm in bed all the time now, except for toilet and shower. My OB said I will have to keep this up until 30 weeks, which I have no problem doing, as long as I stay pregnant until 30 weeks. I'm home now and I hope no more nights in the hospital. Fingers are crossed.

Question of the Day - If there was one place you could be right now, where would you be and what would you be doing?
Answer- I can answer this in a heartbeat: I literally tell my DH everyday that I wish I was back on our honeymoon in our beachfront room at the Halcyon resort in St.Lucia sipping a banana lady drink on the beach reading twilight smoking a cigarette haha (sorry if I offend about the smoking--I have quit for life but I do still miss it) oh man--I dream about going back and would LOVE to take a 2nd honeymoon there eventually it was perfect!
Updates- Today has just been a great day for me...had good results on my u/s as far as my fluid levels and doppler flow--then my friend Amy (who cuts and colors my hair) came and gave me highlights via my hospital room, then I found out some amazing news--check out my post below about the amazing story! Wow--just a great day, i needed this!

Question of the Day - If there was one place you could be right now, where would you be and what would you be doing?
Answer- I would so love to be on a beach somewhere.....Hawaii, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Cancun......where ever it's warm and tropical!
Updates- Not much. I went back to the doctor today because I woke up with excruciating pain right above my pubic bone. It was different than the RLP I've had, so I was sure it was my bladder and I had an infection. But the test results said it wasn't. I also don't have a vaginal or yeast infection. She could tell my bladder was sensitive, but couldn't really figure out why. She also said I have ketones in my urine....which I've decided could be dehydration or a sign of diabetes. Some people mentioned that a low carb diet can cause ketones in the urine, but trust me...I have NOT been on a low carb diet. So, I guess I'll wait until next week when my 1 hour glucose test comes back......
Other than that, I got nuthin'. I'm getting a terrible headache, so I hope everyone is doing well tonight and I'll "talk" to everyone tomorrow.
Can I join? I usually hang out on SAIF and Multiples but it's looking like I should introduce myself here too.

Due Date: 4/28 but having triplets and just hoping to make it to 32-34 weeks (early to mid March)
Date on bedrest: 1/22
why: dr. appt. on 1/19 showed cervix dilated to 1cm and 50% effaced, with contractions happening sporadically. Spent a few days in the hospital and am now home on bedrest. I can get up for bathroom and shower, and that's it.
QOTD: not sure - a resort that we stayed at in Mexico last year is having a special - sure would be nice to be back there in the sun!
