before pregnancy? Type 1 or 2?

Just wondering, it seems it is always GD not diabetes before pregnancy.

I'm not pregnant, but I lurk on this board because I'm Type 1, have been for 11 years. Currently TTC our first!

Yay, glad to hear I am not the only one. (I knew I was not) I am diabetic since 2000, type 2. HOwever due to the meds I was on before becoming pregnant with first child, I went on an insulin pump and stayed on it after. (Great control!!!) So I was just wondering who was here, who is pre existing diabetic and who is pregnant or TTC.

Type 1 diabetic since 2 weeks after my 1sy birthday. Been on the pump since 2008. I know what you mean about their being more GD then type one or two on here

Hi all,

I'm T1 and 4 weeks preg.... anyone else as nervous as I am about keeping blood glucose levels down?!?!  Its just about the only thing I think about!!  (Though I do have an increased love for my one touch ping  )

I also have the Animas Ping and LOVE it!  I just started on a pump last April and I am liking it so much better than multiple daily injections!

I am a type 1 diabetic for 15 years now and am also very nervous abou the effect my diabetes may have on our baby.  I am currently 28 weeks 4 days and am doing weekly appointments already, and my dr is watching for pre-e.  Hoping everything goes well.  Good luck to all of you!
