TTC After a Loss

No Lube Vs. Pre-Seed?

Even though Pre-Seed is "Sperm Friendly", do you think it is better to not use any lube at all when ttc?

Re: No Lube Vs. Pre-Seed?

  • According to the PreSeed website, it may enhance the motility of sperms.  Personally, I am naturally dry and require some kind of lube to do the deed.  But I think it would be either PreSeed or nothing at all as Pre-Seed seems to be the only lube that does not slow down the sperms.

  • I think it depends on your..um...situation.

If you don't have a natural lubrication problem, then I don't see why you need to use it. However, if you are on Clomid or something like that, which can dry you out, then I highly recommend it. Not only does it make sex more enjoyable (less painful) it also gives something for the sperm to swim in.

  • I may have to try it. It has been a little..ahem..dry. Anything to help the spermies get where they need to go!

  • I'm a fan.  I got fast BFPs both times using it.  Actually, I use PreConceive, which is easier to find (they have it at RiteAid and CVS, maybe Walgreens)

I never thought of looking there. I got my Pre-seed from Amazon.

Oh and remember...a little goes a very long way. If you do what they recommend it will be like a slip n slide in your bed.

  • PreConceive is just as safe as Pre-Seed?

Supposed to be.  And you've gotta love that there's a baby on the label.  Feels a little wrong in the heat of the moment.

  • I used it the cycle I got pregnant (#1). Seems to have helped. At least it for sure didn't hurt!
  • I think using Pre-Seed is much better for TTC than going without. Even when you disregard the claims by the web-site that say it's good for sperm motility, simply looking at the fact that using lubricant makes the process more enjoyable for both parties is enough reason for me to use it.

  • If you are dry, I would absolutely recommend pre-seed. it seems to mimic fertile cervical fluid and helps out the spermies.
