My pediatrician said that I need to be giving DS vitamin D drops but the lactation consultants said breastmilk is perfect and he gets everything he needs from it. Are you giving LO additional vitamins?

Re: Vitamin D???
Yes, my pediatrician said that vitamin D is not passed through breast milk so it still needs to be supplemented. I checked some other sources as well, and they agree. A lot of people use the Baby D Drops (brand), and I use the cheaper Vitamin Shoppe equivalent (link below). They are super easy because you literally only have to give LO one drop and can put it on a paci or your nipple if you like. I just drop it into her mouth.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends 400 IU per day for exclusively breasted babies - apparently not enough gets into breastmilk, and if babies don't get enough vit D, they're at risk for rickets (poor bone development).
