Jeremiah - what would be the nicknames?

I really like the name Jeremiah "as is," (and had a classmate that DID go by that full name) but I'm just wondering what some nicknames might be.

Miah?  I don't know if that sounds or looks right, and I don't really like "Jeremy."

I don't know if there IS a nickname (which I think is fine!) I have a cousin named Jeremiah, who has always gone by his full name.  I think some of his friends call him "Jay" but mostly just Jeremiah.

The only Jeremiah I knew went by his full name...but I would guess that when he got older kids might shorten it to Jerry.

I knew a guy named Jeremiah that went by 'Jem' - I thought that was cute...

This name always makes me think of the old song "Jeremiah Was a BullFrog."

I had a friend in college and we called him Jere, rhymes with bear.

Jeremiah is a really nice name; that actually would have been my name had I been a boy. 

I don't think people will automatically nick it.

Conceivably, he might go by Jerry, Jeremy, or Jay. I never would have thought of Miah; that looks a little funny to me.

My husband's name is Jeremy and his mom calls him Jeremiah. He's never had a nickname other than "bullfrog" from that silly song. Noone's ever called him Jerry, Jer, or (ew!) Jerm.

We are going to do a Jeremy Jr and call him JJ.

The little boy next door to us is Jeremiah, and he goes by Miah.  Jerry seems more obvious to me, though.

My husband is named Jeremiah, and I call him Miah (like Maya Angelou). I believe his family called him "JJ" a little when he was growing up. (His middle name is Jonathan.)

He HATES being called Jeremy.

I dated a Jeremiah for a few years.  He never went by anything other than Jeremiah or his last name.

I gew up with a Jeremiah from a young age, he was much like a big brother to me and I always called him "miah".  Very sweet name!
