hiccups...a-freaking-gain

He (Lo) has the hiccups right now. He also had them this morning, it's what woke me up, then again on my way to take my DD to pre-school, then again when i was in the shower.  I know it's a good thing because it's considered "practice breathing" but really LO, mommy would like you to give her uterus a break.

Re: hiccups...a-freaking-gain

  • I hear ya... my LO keeps getting them lately too.  I started to worry about cord issues but I'm trying to tell myself she's just practicing.  Guess I'll ask my doc this week.

  • Oh man, I know what you mean.  Nolan gets the hiccups every time I eat or drink ANYTHING.  Doesn't matter if it's water, within a few seconds he's hiccuping away.  It's crazy, he probably gets them 8 times a day.
  • No kidding.  It has really picked up for us in the last week.  This dude seriously gets the hiccups ALL THE TIME.  And, of course, that's not fair, it's really only 2 or 3 times a day.

Still, I get little spasms that seem like they might turn into hiccups and I pause (like that will make it any better), then do a little fist pump when it doesn't fully materialize into anything.

  • All. The. Freaking. TIME!  I feel your pain.  On the one hand, it's adorable and reassuring.  On the other hand, I feel like my belly has turned into a moonbounce!
  • my LO gets them a lot too. maybe not as often as yours, but still quite a bit. i was thinking maybe it meant something bad, but if its just her practicing to breathe, then go ahead little girl and hiccup! lol. it is a bit irritating to have that thump, thump, thump though. especially when youre trying to concentrate on something, like homework for me.
