I had a growth u/s and was told the baby is weighing in at approx 5lbs3oz and should only be 4 to 4.5 by now. Measurements come out to about 34 weeks when I am 31 weeks.
I measured like a week or a bit more ahead with my first but this seems like a lot! I am certain of my due date...no question there. So I wonder if this means this baby is going to come early now though? My 1st was born at 37 and a half weeks and was 7lbs 7oz when my water broke... does your body just sort of have a capacity for how big it can handle? My husband is 6'4" so a big baby shouldn't surprise me too much I guess...
Re: measuring 3 weeks ahead???
at my 24wk appt I was measuring 26wks...but not via U/S jsut from belly measurment. I don't think it means baby will come early, I think it means baby jsut grew differently than what the textbooks say which is perfectly normal.
So it was the midwife I saw this weekend...she never mentioned how much it could be off by but did say it's an estimate and could be off.
However...just got a call from the Dr today now that I need to come in and repeat the glucose test because even with a variance that is measuring pretty big and a lot of times that means diabetes... so great... another glucose test!
