I have the one PP mentioned above. And while it does the job, It is so staticy (is that a word) I want to stab myself in the ears while I'm next to it. In fairness though, I keep it by me as I'm on my laptop, and it seems it's more staticy when it's near electronics.
Also, you can't keep the monitor on constantly if it's not plugged in, it drains the battery too much. I keep it plugged in so I can keep the monitor on (perhaps I'm just paranoid).
If I were going to buy another, I would get their newer model, and hope it has a few less kinks. GL

Ditto a lot of this. I love the monitor but it does get staticy sometimes especially if it needs to be charged. As far as not being able to use it when it's not plugged in you can I just turn off the video portion of it when it is just sitting on the coffee table by me then when I want to check on DD I turn it back on. Doesn't use quite as much battery that way. There is a new digital summer video monitor I would consider looking at that. But all in all I am happy with it.
We have the MobiCam AV color video and audio monitor... I am pleased with it. We have it hooked into our bedroom tv so we can lay in bed and watch DS on the tv really big. We also have an Angelcare.

we have this: https://www.amazon.com/Summer-Infant-Complete-Coverage-Handheld/dp/B001N44UVW/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1263056403&sr=8-5
I have the handheld one next to our bed but keep the sound off at night because I can hear him from down the hall.
and we have the 7" screen downstairs which is great because I can see it from the couch across the room! LOVE IT!
We have this one and haven't had issues with static. It works great and we have no complaints!
