People who have lived here their entire lives and have yet to figure out how to drive in snow. (HELLLLOOO DH)
Spending 10minutes putting on coats hats mittens boots only to redo it all 3 minutes later because they took it all off.
Scraping and brushing off the car.
Starting the car 15minutes early so it can warm up.
People who slow down to go up a hill. DUH ?!!!!?
People in trucks and SUVs who are under the false impression that 4 wheel drive will help you drive on ice.
Re: My reasons to hate winter. Add yours :-)
I ditto all of yours and I will add:
I cannot remember the last time dd's nose was NOT running!
I hate how cold my stearing wheel is when I get done with shopping.
And the dirty parking lot snow which is now all over my floor mats in my car.
I agree with those and here are a few more
people who get up at 5 to shovel or use their snowblower
the mailman who refuses to deliver my mail because my driveway isn't clear. If he would use the sidewalks like they are supposed, then the problem would be solved.
Ditto on yours plus:
struggling to get the kids into their car seats with their puffy winter jackets.
snowstorms that prevent me from going to work and having to explain why I can't get to work (even with 4wd)
A ~ 2.7.06 S ~ 9.2.07
all of yours plus:
ridiculously dry skin
layer of salt and grime on my car that DS always manages to rub up against and get all over himself
sensationalized weather reports that cause everyone to go into a tizzy
THIS!!! Day two of 5:45am shoveling, yesterday when I actually got out of bed at 7am I looked and all of my neighbor's "effort" was completely erased with new snow. Argh!
(I also agree with every other thing listed in the thread)
These.
Plus the 2 degree weather. Can't it just snow? Why does it have to snow and then drop to 2 or lower??? I hate the freezing temps more than the snow.
Snow plows/cities municipalities (whoever is responsible for snow removal from streets). Can you explain to me why for 24hrs we heard on the news there was a winter strom warning and it would start snowing at 6PM and would not stop for 1.5 days yet at 5AM the next day (11 hours after the snow was to start) was there no plows? And it was snowing approximately an inch an hour and yet no plows came around until about 9:30AM??? (which by the way was long after I made it into work). Where were the plows??? It wasn't a surprise snowfall.
