I was very excited for my NT scan this morning, but it was a bit of a let down. The ultrasound tech said almost nothing the entire time, and it was hard to tell what we were looking at (at one point DH asked the tech what she was measuring, and the she just responded: "22"). Apparently the baby was facing the wrong way, and refused to turn despite a lot of cajoling (i.e., poking my stomach).
I go back on Monday to meet with our doctor (who we love) so hopefully she can shed some light on this, but I'm a little frustrated that it means going in for another appointment (I'm waiting for these the results before I tell work I'm pg, but by now I'm sure my boss is wondering what's with all the doctors appointments!).
I know some ladies have commented that they were considering doing the NT just to have an extra peek at baby ... if so, I'd suggest making sure the ultrasound techs at your office are more talkative first!
Re: NT Scan Today -- Disappointing
Oh.... that stinks. I'm sorry you had a disppointing appointment. I have mine in a little over two hours.... so anxious! I hope the tech is friendly and talkative!
