I had to quit via email

so, sorry for my boring shiz, but changing jobs is a major stressor for me and I need to purge. My supervisor is in frigging India and isn't available by phone. Today he is online, so I apologized but I had to quit via email.

I actually want to go MORE part time (and do part time on my new job). If it works out it will be wonderful.

I want to say 'screw it' and stay at home. I asked DH about it and he said we'd have to give up luxuries. I said, "what luxuries?' He said, "food."

Re: I had to quit via email

  • I am sorry.  Could you do something like watch someone elses children?  I would not want to stay home without any money.  It would be hard.  I enjoy it, but only because I have the money to have a little help (DD goes to MMO 8 hours a week), I have a house keeper, so I don't have to do that.  My DH works long hours, so I have developed relationships with other families, so I am not alone all the time, but all those "extra" things that make SAH worth it to me take a lot of extra money.  It would not be fun for us if we were stuck at home and could not get out and do things.

Thanks. I don't think it's in the cards. I honestly don't mind working for the most part (plus I work from home, which is kind of ideal) but changing jobs is just one of those things for me that causes such great anxiety that I start looking for alternative ideas. in truth, i just need to grow a pair :(
