I'm going to Ikea on Sunday with my sister. I was going to look at the gulliver crib and make sure that I like it in person. My DH said I should just get them, since Ikea is 2.5 hours away. I'm a little nervous to buy them so early, god forbid something happens. (My NT scan is Monday of course!)
We live in Ohio, so I'm afraid the weather will get too bad for January and February, and by then I will be 20 weeks, and I won't feel comfortable going that far from home.
Should I just get them? I suppose I could always send my DH to get them in a few months too, although I would hate to make him drive all that way alone.
Re: 12 weeks too early to buy cribs?
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
we bought ours at 12 weeks also because of a sale
We're going to buy 2 gullivers on Sunday!
I used to make a lot of decisions based on what-if's and worse possible scenarios but now I try to do the opposite. I'm keeping a positive attitude and the belief that everything will work out....
I am really trying to shift to this way of thinking!!
That's a good attitude. I'm an eternal pessimist so it's hard.
I don't think you are being morbid, I know what you are saying. I hate to even think like this, but I want to be smart.
I'm just going to get them I think.
