We keep getting hang up calls on our landline...

This one number has called us several times in the past few months and everytime we answer, no one is there and they hang up. I called it back tonight and I get a message that says, "No one is available at this association, leave your name and number and we'll get back to you as soon as possible." WTH?! Is there any way to look up the number and find out what it is?!

ETA: I looked up the area code (847) and it's NE Illinois. We live in IL, but in southern IL. Weird....

Sounds like an auto dialer for a telemarketer to me.

We're on the do not call list, so I don't know if it is a telemarketer or not.

google the whole # there is a  site called who's caLLING ME (OR SOMETHING...)
