DH in the hospital again

What a freaking year.  Is 2009 over yet.  It started with him being in the hospital for 8 days and seems to be ending with him in it for 1 with countless doctors appts, tests and other hospital visits in between.

Right now is really not too bad, they kept him more as a precaution.  He is really, really sick right now.  A cough like I've never heard.  They did a bunch of tests but can't decide whether it is the flu (they did the test and it came back negative but they said the test is only 40% accurate) or viral bronchitis.  Anyway, because of the pulmonary embolism they are being extra cautious and admitted him and are doing a bunch of more tests.

I feel bad.

Oh yeah, and with all of this new testing, they are saying he has emphysema (he's 40).  Also they suspect he might have asthma.

Dude! I remember when he was in the hospital the first time! I'm sorry and I hope he feels better really soon. I am glad that the dr's are being extra precautious. Keep us posted.

Thanks everybody.  I'm waiting to hear from him now to find out what the game plan is and when he is getting out.  I was there with him most of yesterday but this morning I'm home with our DD and then I will go and pick him up.
