wait to poas?

Does anyone wait to poas until you are several days late or AF shows?

When I got ku the first time, AF was due on a friday.  I had a huge exam for work on Monday so I wouldn't let myself test until after it.  I tested Tuesday morning and got a BFP.  That was 4 days after AF was due.

Tomorrow is 14 dpo for me and I'm debating waiting.

Does anyone else wait a long time to test?

Not me, apparently.  I've already POAS three times this cycle!  I should probably start waiting until after AF is due in the future to avoid wasting my money and disappointing myself.

You should wait until Thurs and test with all of the NYE testers!

I try to wait to 12 dpo, that way I can't second guess the results too much, although I don't beat myself up if I test earlier, just buy dollar store cheapies.

I tested the day AF was expected and got nothing. Then I got tested two days later at urgent care before they would give me anything for my laryngitis and got another BFN. Four days later I was in the ER after a work related incident and they tested me before giving me pain meds. BFP! My OB seemed concerned with this when I went in for my m/c f/u today because "You should be able to get a BFP 5 days before..." I assumed she was talking about the test at urgent care because I know HPTs are usually less accurate. I guess something wasn't right from the start with this one... people didn't believe I knew when my LMP was I guess... I look like I'm 12 but I go to EVERY dr. visit with my HUSBAND so that should show SOME responsibility... right?! Geesh...

Sorry I totally made this about me... But I think after this experience (m/c 5w6d) I am definitely waiting until AF is at least a week late before testing. I say that now but knowing me, I'll get to her due date and test the very next day if she didn't come! I usually have very regular cycles.

I tested 4 days pre-AF last time. Next time I intend to wait until that biatch is late.

I usually wait.  I can tell by my temps if AF is coming so I don't bother wasting tests.  I am the opposite of a POAS-aholic.

I'd probably be poas if I were u. Get some $store cheapies and pee.....I don't feel as guilty doing that.

I can't wait.  I always say I want to wait, I'm going to wait, I need to wait.  But, then I don't.

This.  Till I'm late??  Really....more like a week after I think I o'd.  Luckily my addiction on costs me about $10 a month at the $$$ store.

You would have AMAZING self-restraint if you were able to wait 'til after AF was late.  If you can do it, great for you...less stress if you get BFNs.  I, personally, started at 9dpo.

I kind of knew that I was pg the first time but I waited until AF was two days late.  I will probably do the same thing this cycle.

I wait until 15 dpo. I hate BFNs so much. Better for my sanity and better for my wallet (I've used a grand total of 4 pregnancy tests in the last 10 months).
