I know this has been asked before but here it is again.....sorry in advance.
Had my D&C 12/17........would 4-6 weeks be a good estimation?
Looking forward to doing IUI #3 soon.
I have a f/up appt with my RE on Monday, Jan 4th so I'm sure she can tell me then but I'm looking at the calendar and trying to figure it out!
OH - and I'll be out of town 1/19-24 so I'm sure AF will show herself at that time.....btich!
thanks ladies!
Re: How long until I can expect to see AF after D&C?
You will get a variety of answers. I was told 4-6 weeks.
What did your doc tell you?
You'll probably get a variety of answers here. My doctor said to expect AF within 4-6 of my D&C (as if the day of the D&C is CD1). If it didn't arrive, she said to call. Thankfully, she arrived at 28 days on the dot. I hope she misses your time out of town, but arrives timely.
Missed m/c 11.09 | Missed m/c 3.10 | We miss you & love you so.

I have this question covered in my blog, click the peas. (if you want, there's a ton of info there)
It differs for everyone, but if you find that you dont get AF within 6 weeks, call your doctor to let them know. They may let you go to 8 weeks (total) before they put you on something to force AF to come.

It definitely seems like everyone is different. I had a D&E and bled for only 4 days after the procedure. A week later I bled again for 3 days and the surgeon said that could be considered my first AF, but my OBGYN said no way, its just residual from the surgery and not to consider it my first cycle. Then I got AF 4 weeks later, which was 5.5 weeks after the D&E (and it was horrible and extremely heavy, which my OBGYN said is very normal, so beware).
So I think 4-6 weeks is a good guess, but there are apparently a lot of factors to consider:
It took me almost 9 weeks to have some sort of AF. It consisted of very light spotting that lasted for 3 days and a day and a half of intense cramps. Thirty days later, I had the same intense cramps but no bleeding whatsoever. I was put on Prometrium because even though my body was going through it's cycles, I was not building up a lining in between (hence the painful cramps). That did the trick and now everything is back to normal.

Thanks ladies........I have appt with my RE next Monday so I'll hopefully get some direction from her.
I know everyone has different experiences with this but I appreciate the responses.
Mine started 21 days after my d&c. It was very light (to the point I question whether or not it was really AF) but I bled for almost two weeks after my d&c and I showed signs of ovulation two weeks after my d&c.
Unfortunatly, you just have to wait it out.
