2nd Trimester

I'm not putting any more icky food in my body!

Holidays are over!

I didn't gain anything over xmas but I also drank half of the water supply in my hometown (LOL). Likely the reason why I didn't gain. Still, between cookies and eating like crap for the three weeks prior (after our move) I'm finally back on track with making sure my baby and I both get the best nutritional possible.

I made a HUGE fresh fruit salad today (1 pinaplle, 1 honeydew and 1 cantelope), filled the fridge with healthy things and got tons of bottled water.

I was craving the most horrible things when we first moved here: Chef Boyardi, chocolate etc. Stress I presume. I never eat like that.

The only thing I didn't get - becaue I crave it constantly - is pancake mix and syrup. I will save that for special occasions once a week at a diner on a date with my hubbie.

  • Wow, if pancakes and syrup are "special occasion" foods for you, you would have a heart attack if you ever looked in my pantry. And I think I even eat relatively healthy, but I assure you, there are better foods out there for "special occasions" if you really want to live it up! :)

I agree. I have pancakes probably twice a week for breakfast, but have fruit with it. It's all about moderation

  • I wish I could be that self-disciplined :-/
  • Mmm Pancakes!

    I have a healthy suggestion/substitute -

equal parts low fat cottage cheese (weird, but you can't even taste it and protein that is not normally found in this round delight), oatmeal, and egg whites or egg beaters. Blend to liquid in a food processor and cook as usual.  For my hubs and I, I make 1/2 cup of each with an outcome of 3 small pancakes a piece.

I swear with sugar free syrup, baked apples, other fruit, etc - they're GREAT!

  • I hope my bad food addiction stops soon too.  It seems like I've been eating a lot of junk lately & I'm not feeling good about that.  I did gain weight over the past few weeks (more than I'd like), so it's time to get back on track.

I don't.  I enjoy eating.  Everything in moderation.
