Dr Sami David in NYC?

Has anyone gone to Dr Sami David or heard anything about him?

Thanks.

Re: Dr Sami David in NYC?

  • I've read his book and I liked it, but he's seems so famous that I think getting an appointment with him would be hard. Probable his practice is big and with too many doctors that the chances of you actually seeing him are slim. That's what I would think. Did you read his book?

  • I did some research on him before I went to Cornell. The practice is not large. He does not offer IVF. He is more concerned with underlying health issues that may prevent pregnancy or carrying to term. I know he will work with you as an IVF patient in conjunction your clinic.
  • Yes, I read his book. I did get an appt with him coming up in 2 weeks.  He does not take insurance and its about $650 to consult with him! so I wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts. I don't want to waste time and money.
  • Ok good. GL in your appointment and I hope you get answers soon.
  • Thanks. I am currently at Cornell but after a few failed IUIs and 2 failed IVF's I was thinking of getting a 2nd opinion from Sami.
  • We knew we needed IVF so we decided not to see him-so my advice would be if you have no MFI or blockage issues on your end, it may be worth it. He def has a very good reputation in NY.
  • hmm OK. MF is our problem ( well the diagnosed problem so far).  The process is so frustrating that I wish I could get more answers about the underlying issues. Since, bandaging up the problem ( IVF) doesn't seem to be working.
  • Wow I am so sorry. I would be more inclined to seek a second opinion within Cornell. I know they do not make it easy but you can have your case reviewed by the director/rest of senior REs.
