  • Just wear some gloves if you're worried, although I don't think it's a big deal.

  • Yep, wear gloves, particularly if you have cats in the area that may use your garden for a bathroom so you're not at risk for toxoplasmosis.
  • You'll be fine. Wear gloves and don't eat dirt. It's never a good idea to handle fertilizers or potting soil with your bare hands anyway. I will be doing all my regular gardening this spring.

  • if you live in the city or somewhere that your neighborhood kitty might choose your garden box to use as a toilet definitely wear gloves- otherwise - yeppers!  do it now while you can still bend over comfortably  ;-)
  • BE VERY CAREFUL!  I got poison ivy all over my body at 32 weeks.  It was AWFUL.  My body was more susceptible to it being pregnant.  My dermatologist said it was the worst case she had ever seen.
  • There are bacteria on your hands right now. In your sink. On your floor. On your counters. In your car. In trees. On lions. Between your teeth. There are trillions of bacteria everywhere and the vast, vast majority of them are helpful, not harmful. Chill.

This!  Also the reason they tell you not to change the litter box if you have cats.  Toxo can cause serious problems!  And wash your hands afterwards too and don't touch your mouth, face, or eyes.

  • Ditto the PP's.  This is a valid question that is not flameworthy.  This was one of the topics that my MW's talked about at both of my 1st appointments.
