Registering is so overwhelming!

I thought since I read Baby Bargains cover to cover and a few other things here and there we'd speed through it. We took forever just to decide on a carseat (and we were only between two to begin with) and then it took even longer to pick a stroller - and we didn't even pick one. We ended up registering for 3 so we wouldn't forget which they were, and plan on doing a little more reading and test driving them another day. LOL. With all the time spent on that, we pretty much decided to just come back another day and register for the other random things.

BBB seems to be really great with their registry, though. Really helpful.

I love BBB so much more than BRU. However, my Chicago family seems to have no clue what BBB is even though they practically live around the corner...

seriously! so many options, most of them i don't like...but you have to wade through everything. i did a lot of registering/research online on amazon and when we went to babies r us it was still crazy. like 100 pacifier choices? luckily our stroller is compatible with only one car seat and we're going with that one.

i feel overwhelmed by baby monitors. i can't find a solid reviewed one - every style has something negative and i cannot decide.

Like you I read Baby Bargains and thought it was pretty helpful! (Thanks for the rec!) I did think it was easier to register with some background info on the what's considered essential and why, as well as what to skip out on. The only thing that we're still not sure of is the travel system vs a separate car seat/carrier/stroller. All those chapters were rough to weed through. I think we'll have to go and check out those items in person to get a feel for them, weight, height, etc. We registered at BBB as well since BRU seemed like it was difficult to deal with returns/exchanges.

It can definitely be overwhelming. Sounds like you have a good idea of what items you want, it's just the massive amount of options that are out there for those items! It's crazy!

I am just starting to register online and putting items on there to gather more info on.  It is so hard to figure out what exactly I will really need and what brands to get.
