Hair?
What brand of shampoo/conditioner do you ladies use? I have been using Nexxus and it's not doing a thing for me. For some reason over the last 6 months my hair has gotten oilier, and it is just a pain to maintain. I can't find a balance between dry and oily, and it is flat as can be. No more bounce ![]()
What type of hair do you have? What have you found works best to maintain it?
Re: Can we talk about...
I use RedKen Color Extend & love it. I also use a clarifying shampoo once a week, I find that really helps keep the shine and texture that I like.
I have a lot of thin hair that can be oily or dry depending on the weather.
I have very very straight thin, long hair. Just recently I have had the probelm with my hair getting oily, due to me going brunette. I was very very blonde, which obviously getting it highlighted made my hair very dry.
Right now I use herbal essence, I find changing it up every couple months helps me. However I do like Aveda products but they are super $$
Ooh, I'll chime in on this one because I LOVE my brand. Aussie, Moist. Hands down, THE best shampoo and conditioner I have ever used and you can buy it in bulk at Costco or BJ's (northeast).

Never in my arms, but always in my heart.
I need to try Redken. I have heard good things about it and I think it costs about the same as Nexxus!
I started taking fish oil supplement and my hair is like a freakin models now.
I only use Suave daily clarifying shampoo now, I don't even need conditioner anymore. And I've got super long, thick, curly hair. I used to have to use conditioner and leave in conditioner.
Definitely add the fish oil whatever you do. It'll help your hair and skin, plus its super great once you're pg too.

I used this before Nexxus and loved it! Then after awhile it stopped working with my hair, I think that's when I started noticing it getting oily. I love Aussie though, I wish I could use it again! It smells amazing!
I will definitely be doing this!! Thank you!
I try to switch it up every now and then, but lately, I've been switching between Garnier and Tresseme (sp). I have fine, straight hair.
I have super straight long hair, it's fine but there is a ton of it! It lays completly flat because it's so heavy. I got a perm (eeek), which gave it ZERO curl but added some body now it holds somewhat of a curl when I use an iron or rollers.
It was pricey because my hair is so long but I'm happy I did it because it doesn't just hang on my head like it used to and I can actually do some styling now.
Anyways, Paul Mitchells Extra Body line has been fabulous!! My stylist warned me away from grocery lines like Pantene. She said they actually contain chemicals strong enough to strip a floor. The chemical build up was washing my color out and weighing my hair down even more. I was told this by two hair dressers at different salons, if anyone is a stylist and knows elsewise I'd like to hear!
I use the Lush bar shampoo. I don't know the name, but it's the one with the Jasmine scent. For conditioner I use Nature's Gate Henna, which brings out the highlights nicely in my blonde hair.
My hair is fine, but thick (have a lot of it) and breaks and drys easily. These two products have been my lifesaver for the past 6 months. The shampoo bars are nice because they last forever.
I have thin, oily, and curly hair. I avoid products that have parabens, sulfates, and alcohols to avoid adding chemicals to my body.
I've found that Gianni hair products work best for me (available at Whole Foods).
