So I just started charting my BBT this cycle.. At least that's what I think I'm doing. I'm still a little confused and feel like a dummy.. I'm sure it'll make more sense once I have at least a month completed..I'm using the chart that came with the thermometer and FertilityFriend.com Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations? Especially as far as time goes, I keep reading it needs to be within the same hour everyday, but does anyone know if its not within the hour, Does it make that much of an impact? Thanks in advance for putting up with my newbie-ness
Re: BBT Charting ??'s
It is imperative that you temp at the same time (within 15 minutes or so) every day. I can almost promise you that if you do it at different times, your chart is going to be beyond wonky.
Just set your alarm for a specific time, say 7AM and temp then. Even if you don't have to get up that day, just temp and go right back to sleep.
This will save you a lot of frustration. also, taking the fertilityfriend courses if you havent read taking charge of your fertility.

This exactly. I temp at 6:15 everyday and on the weekends, it only takes a minute to fall back asleep. TCOYF is an excellent resource. You will learn things about your body you wish you had known years ago and it's totally interesting.

I agree with PP's- it is pretty important to temp at the same time each day. There are def. days that this wont happen, and there is a temperature corrector on FF. You put in your usual waking time and then the time you temped on that particular day and it corrects your temp- it isnt as accurate as actually temping at the same time so I wouldnt rely on it often.
Good luck, charting gets pretty easy once you get the hang of it!
