'down there' issue -TMI

Last night I had a bit of an itch 'down there' and it continued today. I realized it was only on one labia, so I took out the hand mirror (since I can't see down there anymore) and noticed that my right labia is like twice the size of the other (they are both a bit swollen and have been for awhile) and has a bit of a lump on it.

WTH could it be? I have an OB appointment tomorrow and will ask. Is this a normal pg symptom that no one tells you about? Are there glands there? I haven't shaved there in forever, no sexual activity in our house and I bathe everyday so I don't think its a hygiene issue.

Dr. Google says varicose veins from added pressure from uterus.....or a cyst:( But fairly common.

Anyone? Make me feel less like a freak...:)

I am cracking up right now. I was worried about this too. I came out of the shower and told my H to look and he started calling me fluffy;) hehehe

I just took a look online and it appears it is from jenny mccarthy's book   sounds like fun    hope yours eases up soon!

I've had a cyst before in that area and it freaked me out! It was this hard lump that felt like a pea or something. I think it eventually went away on its own, esp. after the GYN said the only other option was to aspirate it! I don't want a needle in those parts!

I also have trouble with itchiness - I think the increased dampness in that area is not helpful - I often sleep without underwear in order to "air out".

Hope all your parts feel better soon!

Could be an ingrown hair along with all the normal pregnancy swelling.

lol, yeast infection would be just great....(add sarcasm).

Doing pretty good, otherwise:) Just baking these two, hopefully for 10 more weeks. How are you???

Since we're going the TMI route, I developed a skin tag down there around 14 weeks, which I understand is pretty normal as well.  It could be that.

Varicose veins!!! I had the same thing! It was totally freaky. I wouldn't let dh see me naked the whole third tri he finally caught a glimse when I was in labor and they did an internal. He said it scarred him for life! Haha doc said they were totally normal, and mine went away after delivery
