I've seen bits and pieces of the Jim Carrey one and I don't think that they would like it too much -- *I* didn't even like it that much.  And I LOVE the Grinch!!!

OMG- we have been watching that at least twice daily because Kyle is obsessed with the Grinch.  I am so over it.  But yay for your 8 minutes of silence
