So it snowed in Southeast Texas today, the earliest recorded snowfall here. Last year it snowed and stuck around, too, several inches of it. Dec 10 I think was the date. Jim Cantore was reporting from the Woodlands, so I was kind of sad we didn't get to stick around the Houston area...I would SO have his babies Shhhh, don't tell DH!
We drove 3 hours to our West today toward San Antonio for the memorial service for my nephew, and although the service was really sad the snow made it just a little less depressing. So now instead of everyone saying, "oh yeah it was so sad when we had the funeral" they will say "oh yeah I remember, it snowed that day". The service was nice...sad, but nice and I think my SIL & BIL will start the healing process now.
Thanks to all the ladies who have been praying for my family, they have helped carry my B&SIL through this rough time.
Now it's time for some soup by the fire place. It's supposed to get down into the 20s tonight. We didn't make it back in time to catch any of the snowfall that actually stuck around here, but I did snap this photo of what was left on my truck's windshield. I was rather sad I didn't get to take any preggo pics with the snow, but oh well.
Re: Snow, etc
I am sorry about your nephews funeral but it is kind of nice that it snowed that day! It will be a day to remember!
I am jealous I wish it would get cold here
I live in Pittsburgh and we are used to getting lots of snow for a majority of the year. However we have had no snow yet! some frost but nothing on the ground, i hope we get some for the holiday.
but i agree... snow has a way of making things look pure and beautiful. ?
I wish your family the best in this tough time.
we drove from SC to OH today for a family wedding. No snow here yet. I think there was a little bit a week ago though. I want some snow though!
I*m north of u. central pa...we had about 3 inches already....the only time i like snow is for christmas...anyother time its just pointless lol
Our HIGH wasn't 20 today! Jealous of the Texas weather!
