a little nervous

so I had a positive HPT last week on monday (and then 5 more...). The doctor completed a blood test which showed that I was pregnant, but I had a previous ultrasound scheduled (on Monday as well). And my doctor left a message today that my numbers were quite minimal in my bloodwork and that my ultrasound showed no growth of a fetus.

She is sending me for another ultrasound this week and I am so nervous. Trying not to stress out but it caught me off guard.

Anyone else had a similar experience?

Try to stay positive I know it can be hard. It is possible you ovulated late and are still very early in your pregnancy.

Could it be that your dates are off? Maybe you ovulated late? I know that with my son they did an u/s at 5 weeks and couldn't see anything other than a sac. A repeat u/s four days later showed a little baby with a heartbeat.

Don't give up hope yet. A few days can make so much of a difference this early on!!

my cycles are regularily 40 days long, so estimation is our only guess right now!

So last Monday? That seems normal then. If you were only 3w4d then you'd just barely be "pregnant enough" to get a positive HPT. I don't know exactly what development is supposed to be at that point, but I very much doubt you can see that much on a u/s at less than 4 weeks.

My doctor thought I had a m/c at 5w2d because THEY had the wrong dates (I knew I O'd late)... by 6w you should be able to see a HB, so keep the faith!!!
