Yeah I took it with my first pg. The reason it worked so well, in my case, is because it knocked me out. I wasn't throwing up if I wasn't awake. I could not take that stuff and work during the day. I was wiped out. I usually had to wait to take it when I got home from work.
I've taken it both for pg and for motion sickness. Honestly I think the only reason it works is because it knocks me out. Can't vomit up my breakfast if I go back to sleep. No way I could take it and be productive at work.
My M/S has hit me at bedtime the worst, I figure my sleep is more important to the baby than to not take anything. I take it about an hour before going to bed when I am feeling yucky, it really does knock me out! I have an RX because I have ongoing GI issues (IBS, GERD, and Lactose intolerant.. yes I am a big ball of fun!), I find it actually knocks me out more now that I am PG. I can't take it during the day and function though, it makes me way to drowsy!
Two of my sisters were prescribed this due to violent morning sickness. Both of them recommended to me that if I go on it that I should take it only at night before I go to bed (because it knocks you out). However, they said that the drowsy effect lasts mostly just through the night, yet the anti-nausea effect lasted them through the majority of the next day until their dosage the next evening. It's suggested to take it twice a day, I think, but try taking it just at night and see if it's still effective for you. Good luck!
