You can make them with BM or water. But the small amount of cow's milk wouldn't be harmful - standard formula is made from cow's milk and cow's milk protein crosses into BM. It's just that large quantities of cow's milk can cause GI bleeding and anemia.

DD has eaten plenty of things made with cow's milk - yogurt, cottage cheese, mashed potatoes with milk, creamy pasta sauce, etc. However she isn't eating a ton of it, not even the size of her own fist.

Holy sh*t!! I assumed it was an allergy issue (like everything else). I'll definitely make sure to watch how much cow's milk he gets!
