Moby help

Hi everyone, I mostly lurk and read all the great posts here and thought you all could really help me.  I am a big fan of baby wearing since my former SIL introduced it to me with my first DD 9 years ago.  I purchased a Moby for this LO and I've used it twice but I feel very awkward with it.  I've read the instructions and believe I have it on correctly but I'm finding it difficult to get her in a good position in it and then it seems to loosen up rather quickly.

How do I get the best fit with it?

Re: Moby help

  • Have you watched the videos on the Moby website?  That REALLY helped me understand how to get the wrap on the right way.  Also, in the beginning (and even after I was an "expert" sometimes) I didn't get the wrap right at first and would have to undo the whole thing and start again.  Persistence pays off.  Just keep doing it and you'll get the hang of it.

  • I've always found that I need to tie it a bit tighter than I think I want it at first since it stretches.

What position are you putting her in? How much does she weigh?

I watched the video and I think I was putting it too low on my hips/waist.  I am going to try tying it higher and tighter.  LO is 3 weeks old and weighs close to 7lbs.  I tried the cradle hold and the newborn hug hold.  Thanks for the tips!!
