Anyone bought Retract-a-Gate?

We're on the market for baby gates since DS is now moving around like a marathoner. We've especially been trying to figure out what we're going to do on the middle level of our split-level house, since the bottom of one stairway and the top of the other are side-by-side with no good place to anchor a gate on the lower stairway. A co-worker has had positive reviews on this Retract-A-Gate [link]- have any of you tried it?
