Nurseries and Baby Gear

I guess blue doesn't always = boy, huh? (PIP)

*Sigh*

So, I admit that I'm going to try to go a little more frilly than most would with a boy's nursery.  It's just that we have such an unfrilly house, and we'll have the rest of his life for balls and bats!  So I guess I figure I might as well take advantage now. . .

But still.  Despite the colors, the flowers on the bumper don't exactly scream "baby boy," do they? ;)

  • I really like that set, but to me it is girl bedding. Can I ask where you found it?

  • It's Bananafish.  I think you're probably right, but I'm pouting a bit over it :)
  • I got this bedding! It really doesn't look like a girls bedding in person. It is soooo pretty in person. The colors are slightly different. I'm doing the room pretty neutral other then the blue in this bedding. Mostly yellow, browns and beige. This goes really well with those colors. Everyone that has seen it in person LOVES it!
  • BTW if I was having a girl, seeing this in person, I would NEVER use it for a girl.

Oh you're kidding!  I didn't even think to post,"Does anyone have this bedding?" ;)  So glad you saw this!  My original thought was for a very neutral room, lots of creams, whites, etc., but this caught my eye because it seems soft still.  Can you describe how the colors are different?

Thanks for commenting!  (Oh, and if you have any pics I'd love to see them.)

  • I think it totally works for a boy.

  • I would totally use that for a boy nursery. I think I'm like you in that I do prefer even my boys nursery to be a little frilly. DS has a blue and white toile set that to be honest I could have used for a girl as well. I added some white silk dupioni accents to frill everything up a bit and did a harlequin shimmer in pearl over his blue walls to also dress it up.

I say go for it, its really beautiful and classy.

Why not? It's yellow. Is yellow a "boy" color now? lol.
