One more vent and then I'll shut up.

This one is npr.  We got quite a bit of rain last week and DH started sinking through the patio while blowing the leaves off this weekend. Turns out the prior owners did not put ANY sand or gravel below the pavers, nor did they reinforce where the patio ends so the whole thing is just slumping under where the deck begins.

So now we're going to have to put the money that we've been saving up to spend on a new master bathroom (because ours is 100% SMALL and YUCK) into a new patio. It was something we planned to do all along but now it's suddenly bumped up on the list. Bummer....

  • Oh, that sucks big time.  Sorry, viva!

I started out my morning to a screw in my tire, and it cannot be fixed.  I can think of a million things I'd rather spend $270, that's for sure.

I'd be like this because a new bathroom is the best thing ever.

We moved here after living in a brand new house with a toilet, shower and soaking tub that no naked body parts had ever touched so this was tough for me! It's been 3 years so I've gotten used to being in there without really touching anything - LOL.

  • Houses suckass.

We now have mice.  Focking rodents are taking over my domocile and need to leave.  I swear to god I'm never owning anything larger than a breadbox again, and it will be triple sealed inside an airlock.

  • A thought ... Can you keep the save/reuse the pavers and just install the black sheet paper thingy (to keep weeds out) and the sand?

DH did our walkway .. it was hard work but def doable.

We could but the deck is in pretty bad shape and it would practically be a rebuild (not a repair) for the patio so we might as well just put the money into it now, instead of investing a lot of time/labor for something that will just buy us another year or two.
