Reinforce paper dolls?

My DD just received some paper dolls that she LOVES, but I don't see them lasting long unless I reinforce them some how.  Any ideas?  I was thinking of getting that felt that has one sticky side, applying it to the back, and then letting her use them on a felt board, but that's also a ton of work... I'd appreciate any other ideas!

have them laminated or use contact paper to cover the back and front. (i think contact paper would be the easiest).

if by any chance they do get ruined check out melissa & doug's paper dolls...only they arent paper, they are magnectic wooden dolls with accessories.
